Men, Women Professional Golfers Are Your Answer

As you sit there, enjoying this weekend’s golf tournaments, watch some of the Women’s golf tournament this weekend. Not only do they bring excitement to the game of golf, they can also teach you a lesson for your golf game, men.

Watch for their caddies helping to line them up.
Are they playing with 2 irons or do most of them carry utility woods
Annika, Lorena, Natalie, Morgan; they all chase down the target line on their followthrough.
They keep their heads back behind the golf ball until after it’s gone.
Most of them have really good short games
They’re emotional and get into their golf games. Sometimes too much.
For most of you, the women golfers have about the same swing speed when they hit the golf ball. They hit the golf ball about the same distance. They are a lot like you, so learn from your peers boys.

When you just can’t seem to get lined up to the golf ball the right way, have one of your ‘buddies’ help you. If they’re not going to help you have more fun playing, why play with them. If you see one of your friends struggling, offer to help him out. Line them up. Line each other up on every shot that you can for a whole round. Why wouldn’t that help you?

Play with game improvement clubs. I don’t mean that you have to go out and spend $6000.00 on a set of clubs. (If you do, CALL ME!) There are plenty of inexpensive hybrid clubs out there for you to choose from. They can only help your game wisegolfers. The days of trying to hit long irons into some of the holes that you play on should be over. Try dropping it in there with a utility club. It puts less stress on you and you can swing more in control.

Get into your golf game. Play like you’re playing to win the U.S. Open. Did you know that most high caliber athletes don’t get into the zone until they’re in the heat of battle. Even if it’s only in their heads.

Watch how the women professional golfers chase down through the ball. They keep the clubhead low going through impact. Watch Natalie Gulbis or Paula Creamer. Do you see the move that they are putting on the ball? This is the action that you should be copying. Especially on your chips and pitches. That’s the key to getting the ball up in the air.

Pay attention to what they do when they get in trouble. They usually find the shortest, safest escape route they can find. They don’t have the strength or swing speed to force it up out of the rough. Take note!

A word to the wise, guys 🙂 Start playing your game like the women. They are a lot more like you than you think.
